Preserving and Teaching the Nutritional Framework Developed by Dr. Royal Lee

For more than five decades, Mark Anderson has studied, taught, and applied the nutritional framework developed by Dr. Royal Lee.

Since 1972, he has trained physicians nationwide in the philosophy and use of whole-food nutritional formulas. The Mark Anderson Institute continues that work, preserving primary source materials and organizing them into structured education for practitioners.

The Current Landscape

Digestive disorders are increasing. Cardiovascular and metabolic disease remain leading causes of death. Colorectal cancer rates have risen in adults under 50 over the past decade (American Cancer Society, 2024).

These trends raise a straightforward question: Are we training practitioners to think structurally about physiology?

The Institute focuses on the foundational relationships that govern function: mineral balance, glandular coordination, enzyme activity, and tissue integrity.

These principles were emphasized in Dr. Royal Lee’s original lectures and publications and have been developed further through decades of practitioner education.

What Makes This Work Distinct

The educational material within the Institute is drawn directly from primary sources, including:

  • Lee Foundation reprints
  • Recorded physician lectures from the early 1950s
  • Applied Trophology publications
  • Historical formulation rationale from Standard Process

Mark has built a structured teaching system from decades of primary source study and clinical training.

The focus is core physiology: mineral balance, glandular coordination, enzyme activity, and tissue response over time. Building from this core establishes long-term health.
