Mark’s Library

A major focus of Mark's work has been curating, preserving, validating, and expanding access to the teachings of Dr. Royal Lee — one of the pioneers of whole-food nutrition. Through decades of research, editing, and archival work, Mark has helped bring many of Lee's lost or inaccessible materials back into circulation.

Foundational Framework

The Wheel of Healthcare

Mark created the Wheel of Healthcare as an illustrated teaching model. It depicts 16 healthcare professions as spokes of the wheel. It illustrates that nutrition is the foundational and architectural reality unifying health – no exceptions. The title surrounding the hub of the wheel is THE NUTRITIONAL FOUNDATIONS OF THE HEALING ARTS. The hub itself is composed of an image of chloroplasts within plant chlorophyll which creates photosynthesis supplying the planet with oxygen and biochemical energy: The core elements required for life. From that core comes nutritional and phytochemical substances that build, sustain, and regenerate the highest forms of life on earth. This is encompassed in THE LEE PHILOSOPHY OF NUTRITION.

The wheel provides a timeline of revolutionary books that created transformational and disruptive breakthroughs in the fundamental knowledge of the core principles of nutrition in healthcare. This knowledge overarches all modalities and techniques of any professional approach to health. The circumference of the wheel identifies a number of contemporary terms and references often associated with nutritional therapy.
